Spring has Sprung!!!

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our Club for the 2017/18 season. In case you haven’t already noticed we have had lots of positive vibes buzzing around the Club during the off-season.

Patrol season starts on Saturday 23rd of September and lots has been happening behind the scenes to make sure that we are ready to go. The club has purchased new equipment including first aid, rescue boards and 2 IRB motors. We had a great result in the Gear Inspection on Saturday, congratulations to the Gear Team led by Paul Cootes and a big thank you to everyone who helped out on the day!

Nippers are set for a great start to the season with 12 new nipper boards, 7 generously donated by Tony Graham and 5 by Paul Cootes. Thank you! The club has also purchased 6 Nipper Body Boards. Our Junior Activities Team are already flooded with new applications, so if you are thinking of joining up or re-joining keep your eyes peeled for more info on how, when and where to sign up.

During winter a major clean up of the Clubhouse and boat shed was undertaken and some minor repairs carried out. The Club has just signed off on a new Solar Hot Water System to be installed early in the season, funded by a Federal Government Grant. Also, negotiations have begun with the Royal National Park on commencing some maintenance of the Clubhouse.
